I'm really late, I know,
But I had a really great valentine's with my friends and family. You might've guessed that I'm currently single, but in my opinion valentine's should be something that you share with your friends, instead of your lover. I thought like this in a relationship, so don't think of this as a rant of a bitter single woman.
Either way, I spent the day getting ready for our 'date' in the new chinese restaurant in the town. I took a long shower, dried my hair, put on my pretty face and curled my hair.
I don't really use makeup on regular basis, since it feels like a mask to me. I never use foundation or powder, I rather make sure my skin is so clean and even that I don't need it. What really started to tickle my pickle, though, was drawing on my eyebrows. God, I love it. The most fun thing I've ever done to my face. I don't really use eyemakeup since my eyes are unnaturally round, so all eyeshadows tend to look like I got punched. The only eyemakeup I use is light eyeshadow on my browbone and double layers of mascara. Other than that, I'm makeup free.
As I got my clothes on, mom came home from work. She had got me a super cute shirt, necklace and two plain tops as a valentine's gift, and I ended up wearing them to the restaurant. We are super close, which we didn't use to be, but I'm glad I got over my teen angst and started giving her the respect she deserves.
Shortly after she arrived, I left. I met up with my friends over at our old school, since my other friends little brother had his prom, and we went to watch it. It brought back memories from my own prom, bittersweet memories, that is. After that, we headed straight to the restaurant.
Sadly, things didn't go as planned there. Our order took around 1 hour to arrive, but it sure was delish! Too bad we got a tad angry watching people who arrived after us get their food before we did.
My friends ate spring rolls, beef with onions and something with mushrooms, as well as fried rice to go with it, I had deep fried king prawns and bejing duck, and they were so plentiful I didn't manage to eat all of them. After the amazing food, bad things ensued. Everybody else got their checks to their tables, but we didn't. It took us like another hour until I finally went to the counter to pay. It was cheap though, but I doubt I'll ever visit there again.
I got some homemade chocolates, cupcakes and a movie Norwegian Wood as a gift! I didn't get them anything though, since I've been holed up home, sick. I had a really great time! I hope all of you had a great valentine's, whether you were alone, with friends, with family or with your lover. <3
